LBGQT+ Caucus

The LGBTQ+ Caucus of the Greene County Democratic party advocates to, inform, empower and educate our community and beyond to:
  • discuss issues and explore solutions relating to the LGBTQ+ community and it's allies
  • extend equal rights to all LGBTQ+ members of our community - and beyond
  • monitor, protest, vote and move to repeal discriminatory laws
  • eliminate hate-motivated violence
  • improve the health and well being for all regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression or sexual characteristics
  • further the goal of equality and justice for all people, with a focus on LGBTQ+
  • advocate for diversity and inclusion of all people, including LGBTQ+

• ensure that all activities and venues are accessible

• raise awareness on issues affecting people with disabilities

• advocate for representation in our community for differently abled bodies

• remove barriers and advocate for disabled persons to live self-determined, independent lives

• create a society that is fully inclusive and accessible
